A Historic Season for Prague Raptors Women

The 2025/26 season has been a special one for women’s football at Prague Raptors.

After a season full of hard work, commitment, and togetherness, our Women’s A team has secured promotion to the Czech Women’s First Division for the first time in club history.

It is an achievement that reflects the effort of so many people across the club — players, coaches, volunteers, supporters, and everyone working behind the scenes week after week.

Under Head Coach Lucie Martínková, the team continued to grow throughout the season and showed great character during the promotion phase after the league split. The squad produced important performances in key moments and approached every challenge together, earning their place in the top division through consistency, resilience, and team spirit.

Reaching the First Division is an important milestone for the club, but it is also something we approach with humility. We know there will be new challenges ahead and a higher level of competition next season, but we are excited for the opportunity to continue learning and developing.

This season has also shown the progress being made across the wider women’s programme at Prague Raptors. Our Women’s B team has enjoyed a very positive first season, creating more opportunities for players to develop and compete within the club structure. The growth of the squad over the course of the year has been encouraging to see and represents another important step in building a sustainable pathway for women’s football at the club.

At youth level, our U18 and U15 teams have also continued to make strong progress, with players developing both individually and collectively throughout the season. We are also excited to launch a new U13 girls team, which will help create even more opportunities for young players to join the club and continue growing the women’s section for the future.

One of the things we are proudest of is seeing a genuine pathway beginning to take shape — from youth football through to senior football and now all the way to the Women’s First Division.

Since the club was founded, Prague Raptors has always aimed to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for players from all backgrounds. This promotion is another positive moment in that journey, but it is only possible because of the people who continue to give their time, energy, and belief to the club every day.
