With just 2 days to go until the Women's FA Cup Quarter Final match against FC Viktoria Plzeň we take a look at the season so far and the journey to this stage of the competition...
The Raptors are undefeated in the league this season - claiming 8 victories and 1 draw & incredibly only conceding 4 goals in that time with 44 scored.
With a game in hand over 2nd & 3rd place the Raptors should head into the mid-season split in a strong position - even success there would mean a final step in the bid for promotion, with a play-off against one of the parallel 4th division winners - victory at that point would mean moving to the 3rd tier for the first time in the club's history.
The goals have come mainly from the midfield - English midfielder Stella Gandee Morgan has 8 whilst her midfield teammates Holli Demirel & Alice Boučková both have 6. Strikers Jess Reddy, Lily Hofman & Lucie Stupavská all have 3 goals each.
3 leagues above the Raptors is the 1st division, where Plzeň currently sit in 5th after a mixed season so far. The top 3 look to be out of reach so a battle with Slovan Liberec (whom Raptors beat in the last round of the cup) for 4th place looks to be how the second of the season will play out for our opponents.
Plzeň have had some strong results this year, including a 6-0 victory over Dukla Praha and an opening day 2-1 away win against current league neighbors Liberec. Plzeň did lose the last 3 going into the winter break but 2 of them came against Slavia & Sparta where all teams struggle to pick up points.
Whichever way it goes in terms of the result, Saturday evening promises to be a huge event for the Raptors and for sure we can expect the team to push for the full 90.
Entry to the game on Saturday is free, but if you cannot make it down to the pitch then you can support via the YouTube livestream from 17:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fusQT5asVCk
